VISUAL ARTIST & PHOTOGRAPHER

Huasheng “Sheng” Jiang is a 22-year-old Tilburg-based photographer, born in Jiangsu, China and raised in the Netherlands from the age of three. Working across event, portrait, and branding, his practice extends into editorial and concept-driven work, where he combines digital precision with a visual language shaped by analog aesthetics drawn to the richness of film color, soft grain, and a tactile sense of atmosphere.

His work is defined by narrative driven imagery, where styling, environment, and subject come together to form a cohesive visual direction. Rather than simply capturing moments, he constructs images that translate identity, mood, and perspective into a distinct visual language.

Embracing both his Chinese heritage and Dutch upbringing, Sheng intentionally reflects this dual identity in his name: Sheng Jiangsu. “Jiangsu” refers to the province where he was born, allowing his cultural roots to remain a meaningful and visible part of his creative foundation. His website and signature extend beyond a portfolio, serving as a platform where his identity as a maker is expressed through narrative-driven imagery, styling, and visual direction.

Since founding his practice in 2024, Sheng has developed a distinctive visual identity defined by narrative-driven imagery, atmosphere, and a clear sense of visual direction.

His guiding belief: photography should not only show — it should construct, translate, and make you feel.
